When we pray...

"Silence from God may be a test to see if we will adhere to what we know as truth, or if we will settle for some adaptation that seems plausible, but in fact is a snare of the enemy.  When Satan proclaimed that he would raise himself above the stars of heaven…  God said nothing, He was absolutely silent.  One third of the angels in heaven took God’s silence as a permissive attitude and we know what happened to them!

When we pray we must stand by what we know as truth in God's Word and the work He has done in our heart and live by that truth, or die trying.  I don't support the truth, it supports me, and when called into question, I humbly acknowledge my inabilities, and lay everything before the Lord in abject humility and explicit honesty.

The Lord does not require perfection from us, but He does require honesty.  I'm talking honesty so revealing, few people are prepared to enter into it.  If we thought about how we typically approach the Lord in prayer, we would realize we are not at all honest with Him regarding our fears, doubts, and unbelief."
